The South Australian Youth Forum recognises the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and extend our respect to all and future Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
This land is and forever will be Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples land.

A platform to inspire, educate, and empower.
A community led by young people, for young people.
A powerful voice for youth.
The South Australian Youth Forum Inc. is the state’s largest youth-led advocacy organisation, founded by Amber Brock-Fabel at age 17 in 2021, to amplify young voices and drive systems change. We create spaces for young people aged 14-24 to connect, lead, and be heard through issue-based workshops, state-wide engagement, and Reports presented to ministers and decision-makers. Our work has sparked world-first research into youth loneliness, led to national presentations on mental health and period justice, and shaped policy. Equally important, our Forum fosters a strong community where young people from across the state can connect, build friendships, and share experiences. Now a registered not-for-profit, our dual-branch model and team ensure the Forum remains youth-led, evolving with the needs, voices, and diversity of young South Australians.

We've just released our 2025 Annual Reports!
The 2025 Annual Reports of the South Australian Youth Forum (SAYF) reflect a milestone year for the organisation. For the first time, SAYF operated two distinct branches - one for young people aged 14–18 and one for young adults aged 18–24 - recognising that while close in age, these cohorts experience, prioritise, and engage with the world in different ways.
Authored entirely by young people, the two reports capture a year of youth-led initiatives, workshops, consultations, and advocacy delivered across South Australia. Together, they offer both shared themes and distinct perspectives, highlighting what matters to young people at different stages of their lives. Each report is presented directly to decision-makers at local, state, and federal levels to ensure youth voices are heard and considered in policy and practice.
Both reports are available free of charge to promote accessibility and encourage meaningful youth participation.
We encourage readers to explore both reports to better understand the similarities, contrasts, and insights that emerge across the two branches.
